Another update: Delilah coming to KOST, Cunningham departing KLOS

Delilah Rene Luke, better known by just her first name, begins tonight on adult contemporary KOST filling the 7 - midnight shift. She fills the slot recently vacated by Karen Sharp and "Love Songs on the KOST," which ended last month.

Accompanied by Premier Radio co-founder Kraig Kitchin, Delilah made her announcement on the KTLA Morning News. "There's a station I've been sending tapes to when we used to send tapes, back on reel-to-reel days, knocking at the door. And starting tonight, I'll be on KOST 103.5!"

The syndicated program originates from her home studio in Seattle. After working at several different stations across the Pacific Northwest, Delilah started the current program in 1984 at KLSY (now a Spanish contemporary Christian station).

She offered this comment to RadioInsight.com:

I’m so excited to join the fabulously talented on-air personalities at KOST 103.5 and be part of such a legendary Los Angeles radio station. Playing love songs at night, taking dedications, and connecting with listeners is truly the greatest job in the world. I’m grateful for this amazing opportunity.

Delilah was most recently heard on 95.9 The FISH (KFSH) from 2012 - 2020, previously her show was offered on adult contemporary KBIG during two different periods between 1997 - 2007.

Meanwhile, Keith Cunningham has left his PD duties at Cumulus heritage rocker KLOS. He has created Black Box Group, a media consulting service. He describes his company as "a high impact, low overhead solution to today’s media challenges."

The company's LinkedIn profile provides further detail:

Built on the founder's track record of taking multi-million-dollar brands from worst to first, Black Box Group taps a trusted network of top-tier creative, analytical, and executional specialists to deliver elite creative insight, surgical strategies, and measurable results for audio and media brands, talent, artists, and executives.

Cunningham has been at the helm of KLOS since 2015. He previously programmed stations across the West Coast and Denver, plus previous consulting work with Jacobs Media.

No word on Cunningham's successor.
